Welcome Back to School!
As we begin our school year, this is what we will be doing...
Reading: The students will take a reading placement test to determine their current reading levels. We will read stories from their textbook as well as an assortment of novels throughout the year.
Language Arts: We will begin the year reviewing sentence structure, types of sentences, and parts of speech (noun, pronoun, verb, adverb, adjective, preposition, conjunction, and interjection).
Social Studies: The first unit of study will be geography. Students will be expected to learn and identify the major land forms found in the United States. They will also be expected to explain the importance of natural resources to a nation.
