The Mission of the Lucas Local School District is to prepare well-rounded, lifelong learners who are able to meet life's challenges.


Lucas Local is a public school district located approximately seven miles east of Mansfield in Richland County. Enrollment in K-12 is approximately 580 students. The district has one elementary (k - 5), one middle school (6-7), and one high school (8-12)located on approximately 58 acres in Lucas, Ohio. According to the Ohio Local Report Card, Lucas is rated as an EFFECTIVE school district for the 2007 - 08 school year. This is the EIGHTH consecutive year of an EFFECTIVE rating.

Driving Directions:
South on state Route 39 from Mansfield or Route 71/39 interchange to the Village of Lucas. Turn left on Park St, through the first stop sign and all the School buildings are on the left side of the road.  North from Loudonville/Perrysville to the Village of Lucas.  Turn right on Park St, through the first stop sign and all the School buildings are on the left side of the road.
