 Needed Supplies for the 2008-2009 School Year

    KINDERGARTEN

 ·          Slip-on Gym Shoes or Shoes with Velcro Closures (for quick change) with NON-MARKING, soles.  This must be a separate pair that will remain at school.

·          2 boxes of crayons (Crayola preferred – 24 count)

·          1 pack of Yellow No. 2 pencils

·          Backpack

·          1 box of washable Magic Markers (Crayola preferred -  8 or 10 basic colors)

·          Blunt-tipped, metal-blade scissors (Fiskars preferred)

·          1 box of tissues

·          1 roll of paper towels

·          2 four ounce bottles of glue AND 6 glue sticks (Elmer’s preferred)

·          1 large paint shirt (any old t-shirt/short sleeved shirt will be fine)

·          4 two-pocket folders (any color/style)

·          Girls only:                1 box of Gallon size Ziploc bags

·          Boys only:                  1 container of disinfectant/sanitizing wipes (Clorox, Lysol, etc.)

 Please print child’s name on gym shoes, backpack, scissors, paint shirt, and 4 folders with a permanent marker!  *** All other items will be shared among all of the students in the class.

         FIRST GRADE

Paint shirt (over-sized short sleeve T-shirt)

·          1 school supply box (approx. 9 x 5 size to fit in storage space)

·          1 three-ring (1" spine) binder (poetry notebook) (Please, no large 3-ring notebooks such as Trapper     

 Keepers!)

·          5 red pocket folders (1 per grading period)

·          2 (any color) pocket folders

·          School bag or back pack

·          90 sheet wide-ruled spiral notebook

 The following items will be shared as community property and will be distributed to table groups as needed.  They do not need to be marked with the child’s name.

·          15 glue sticks (no 8-ounce bottles, please)

·          5 pocket folders (no prongs necessary) - 1 red, 1 yellow, 1 blue, 1 green, 1 color of your choice

·          1 - 10 ½” x 8" spiral bound notebook, wide-ruled, approximately 70-sheets

·          1 plastic pencil box (no larger than 5" X 8" please)

·          3 dozen pencils
