Welcome
to Technology in
Lucas
Local Schools
Lucas
Local Schools endeavors to provide the students with the advantages of
Technology to
prepare them for the workplace of the future.
Nearly
every classroom has a computer and each library/media center has a complete
computer Lab. Integrating the computer in the learning process will help
provide the skills that will be necessary for the future.
Lucas
promotes the safe responsible use of computers. Prior to using Lucas School
equipment, each student/parent will be required to fill out and sign an acceptable
use policy to inform the student/parent of the safe responsible use of Lucas
School computers and related equipment.

Notes From: Dave Moore
Technology Coordinator
Lucas Local Schools has the following computer equipment:
Pentium 2 400's up to Pentium 4 3.0 gig computers, scanners, digital cameras,
media projectors, display monitors.
I would like to
recognize:
Electronic Data Systems for their support of Lucas School. EDS has donated
large groups of desktop computers, laptops, printers and other misc. computer
related items
Ashland University for their support of Lucas School. AU
has donated desktop computers, printers and other misc. computer related items.
Ohio Department of Insurance for their donation of desktop
computers.
With the combined donations I have been able to upgrade
(quantity and quality) all three computer labs at Lucas School.
My job is not only fixing computers but developing and
maintaining the District Technology Plan, administering state and federal Grant
programs including E-rate, Schoolnet, Onenet, Praise, and using digital
media to inform and interact with the Students, Faculty and Community.
Lucas School has a State/Federal mandated Technology plan that has a 3 year
scope. This Technology plan requires us to be progressive in technology
applications and to include the community in the decision making process.
I
will from time to time post links to
very useful (&FREE) software.
