On March 14, 2023, Lucas High School senior, Clara Hecker and 12 other students from the region were recognized for their academic success and community service at our annual Franklin B. Walter Honors Area Scholars program at Mid-Ohio Educational Service Center. After the banquet each student read their tributes to their Positive Impact Person. Clara’s Positive Impact Person was Ms. Rebecca Dangerfield, who was her former Music teacher at Lucas High School. Clara was joined by her parents Nancy Hecker and Greg Brooker, High School Principal Dr. James Metcalf, and Superintendent Brad Herman.
