Mrs. Warner and her FCS/FCCLA students worked hard on creating traffic safety projects again for the 2021-2022 school year. Students created posters, pamphlets, knowledge boards, classroom presentations and skits to help raise awareness on ways to be safe when driving. The focus this year was on speed, distracted driving, impaired driving, and proper seat belt use. Students' projects were then submitted to the FACTS (Families Acting for Community Traffic Safety) initiative for review and the Lucas FCS/FCCLA won a $1,000 stipend! Alyssa Shay will head to Columbus to receive the FACTS award on behalf of her Personal Finance class on Thursday April 28th.
